Bord Na nÓg -
A chairde,
We have now finished up our underage games for 2022 which was a very good season with loads of football played by our excellent young players throughout the year.
I would like to wish our minors who are stepping up to adult football next year the very best of luck.
Thanks to the 2022 Bord Na nÓg officers and board members and all of our coaches and volunteers who put in a massive effort all year. Our board nor underage teams couldn't function without the time and commitment put in.
Our Bord Na nÓg AGM date and time will be announced in the coming weeks. Before our AGM, can I encourage anyone interested in the following positions to email your details to secretary.naomhultanbordnanog@gmail.com
- Bord Na nÓg Chairperson
- Bord Na nÓg Secretary
Thank you!
Le meas,
Peter McFarlane
Naomh Ultan Bord Na nÓg Chairperson

8 Week Physical Activity Programme for 55+
As part of the Irish Life Healthy Club Project we ran an 8 Week Physical Activity Programme for those over the age of 55. This Tuesday, November 29th marked the eighth and final week of this free programme. Huge well done to all our participants, many of whom attended each week. Many thanks to programme instructor Dermot McGlynn who ran the classes.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our club to facilitate physical activity amongst people in the community who our club don't typically cater for. The programme was funded through the Age & Opportunity Active National Grant Scheme. This scheme, which is provided by Sport Ireland offers financial supports to local clubs, groups and organisations, nationwide who promote increased participation in recreational sport or physical activity for older people. We were very happy to be successful in this grant scheme back in June, the allocated funds allowed us to run this programme for free for our participants.
