Our U13 girls played their third game of the year on Monday last, welcoming Four Masters to Pairc Naomh Ultan.
Four Masters came out the quicker of the two, scoring two point from play. Sarah Hegarty got her side's first score in the form of a goal and that was followed by another Naomh Ultan goal, this time coming from the boot of Clodagh Murray. That raced Naomh Ultan in to a four point advantage however throughout the rest of the half Four Masters were patient in their approach, getting four unanswered points to level proceedings at the interval.
Similar to the opening half, it was Four Masters that got the early scores, getting a goal within a couple of minutes. They got a point, followed by two quick fire goals to really separate the two teams. Naomh Ultan did respond well, when Clodagh Murray got her second and her side's third goal of the evening. Kayla Boyle and Sarah Hegarty chipped in with two points from play.
It was Four Masters that finished the stronger of the two, getting another two points followed by a goal right at the end. Good entertaining game in slippery enough conditions, was great to see Mia Gallagher making here debut for the team. Being able to have 15 players at this age group is testament to the work being put in with these girls. Missing from the team photo is Clodagh Murray, who unfortunately picked up an injury in the 2nd half.
