Naomh Ultan made a good Bank Holiday weekend a great one winning their two games and putting promotion in their own hands. A quick turnaround from Friday's victory away to Naomh Muire, Naomh Ultan got the first score of the game from the boot of Daragh Murrin, Robert Emmets quickly equalised but Cian Kennedy soon changed that. He pointed on the 8th minute after some patient Naomh Ultan build up, shooting for a point a few moments later the ball ended up in the Robert Emmet's net to put them in the driving seat. Alan Lyons got two quick fire points to build upon that lead and Kennedy matched that with two more scores, the second from a placed ball. Lyons, Peter Alvey and Kennedy finished off three attacks with points to finish Naomh Ultan's half with 1-10. Emmets did goal at the stroke of half time, a high ball wasn't dealt with by Naomh Ultan, falling kindly to a Robert Emmets forward who made no mistake of finishing. Half time Naomh Ultan 1-10 Robert Emmets 1-1

Similar to the opening half it was Daragh Murrin that got Naomh Ultan going after the restart, pointing in the 33rd minute. Emmets responded with a patiently worked score on 39 minutes but up stepped Kennedy for his side's 13th score of the game. In that exact order, scores occurred when Emmets pointed after patient build up play to which Naomh Ultan and Kennedy reacted to with a point from them. That would prove to be Robert Emmets' last score, as in the final quarter of the game Naomh Ultan finished off a good performance with scores from Kennedy twice, a superb long range score from Daragh Murrin to which he added another soon after and lastly substitute Johnny Bach.

That result now leaves Naomh Ultan in 2nd position in the league with 6 games played, they travel to Carndonagh next Friday for round 7 of the league. Throw in is scheduled for 8:15pm.
