Ireland Lights Up and the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs Steps Challenge returned on January 7th 2026. It will run for 5 weeks until the 11th of February, bringing communities across the country together once again in a shared commitment to health, fitness, and wellbeing.
With recent weather conditions in mind, weโve made the decision to push back our first walk - it will take place this Wednesday, January 14th at 7pm on our Walking Track Facilities.
In partnership with Irish Life, the Steps Challenge encourages clubs to track their steps together and support one another in building positive habits. If we collectively reach 4,000km, the club will be in with a chance to win a share of โฌ30,000!

Ulster Ladies Gaelic are delighted to announce 4 new informal coaching workshops for 2026. For 2026 they have decided to spread the workshops across 4 venues in Ulster to allow a wide range of coaches to attend from different regions in the province. Their is limited spaces at each workshop, so if interested get your spot booked.
The workshops are on the following dates and venues:

Tuesday 3 February: In Game Coaching Workshop - Culloville GAC, Armagh

๐ LGFA Grab Your Whistle Club Adult Referee Course - Augher, Co. Tyrone ๐
As part of the LGFA's ongoing development of referees across the country they are rolling out Regional Grab Your Whistle Club Adult Referee Courses.
On Saturday the 14th of February, they are hosting a course in Ulster.
This course will be held in Augher GAA Club, Co. Tyrone and will run from 10am until 5pm. These courses are being offered at a discounted rate of โฌ15 per participant.
