Our U12 LGFA team had a very special guest at training this evening - AWFL star Aisling McCarthy!
The Fremantle Dockers player, who was named in the 2024 AFL Women's All-Australian team, kindly took the session and shared her experiences and expertise with the girls.
A Tipperary native, Aisling is no stranger to the GAA pitch. She played camogie for her home club, Cahir and captained them to victory in the 2016 All-Ireland Intermediate Final. In 2017, she was named Player of the Match in Tipperaryโs All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies' Football Championship win!
Pictured are our young players alongside Aisling, as well as their coach, Layla Alvey, who made a presentation to thank her for taking the time to coach our team. The girls thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the session!
