A new season brings exciting news โ the return of our Academy for 2025!
The CLG Naomh Ultan Academy will commence this Saturday, March 22nd at the Bruckless Community & Sports Centre.
Open to all children aged 4 to 8, our Academy offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills of the game, make new friends, and stay fit and healthy. Most importantly, it provides a safe and welcoming environment for fun and enjoyment!
We will begin with indoor training sessions before transitioning to outdoor activities at Pรกirc Naomh Ultan. Please note that, due to the use of facilities outside the club, there will be a charge of โฌ2 per child.
We can't wait to welcome the children back for football and fun! โซ๏ธ๐ก
๐๏ธ Child Safeguarding 1 Workshop ๐๏ธ
CLG Naomh Ultan will be hosting a Child Safeguarding 1 Workshop in our clubhouse at Pรกirc Naomh Ultan this coming Monday, March 24th at 7pm.
This workshop is essential for any club members whose safeguarding certification is out of date or who have not yet completed the training. Upon completion, certification remains valid for three years. It is a mandatory requirement for anyone involved in coaching to have up-to-date safeguarding certification. The workshop is also open to parents/guardians and other club members, as entry onto the playing pitch during activities requires this certification. Thank you!
๐๏ธ Donegal GAA 2025 Youth Conference ๐๏ธ
Donegal County Health & Wellbeing committee in association with ATU Donegal, Jigsaw, HSE & the North West Alcohol & Drug Task Force are hosting a youth conference on this Saturday, March 22th 2025.
They are inviting each club to select 4 young people ages 15-18 along with a club volunteer to attend on the 22nd March. This promises to be a very fun packed day with learning, inspiration & networking. Well known influencer, comedian and Mental Health Advocate Mr Rory O'Connor (Rory Stories) will be part of the conference for the morning and will launch their gambling awareness initiative.

As part of our commitment to the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs programme, we are hosting an informative workshop:

This session is designed for those aged 18 and over to raise awareness about the effects of drugs and alcohol while providing guidance on where to seek support. ๐๏ธ Movember Ahead of The Game Workshop ๐๏ธ
The GAA, GPA and Movember have partnered to deliver the Movember Ahead of the Game initiative. Movember Ahead of the Game is a series of interactive workshops, delivered by past and present intercounty players and members of the GPA. The initiative will teach young players, parents, coaches, and volunteers to understand mental health, build mental fitness, and strengthen resilience to deal with challenges in sport and life.
Movember "Ahead of the Game" includes content on how to recognise mental health disorders, what to do and when to get help. The campaign highlights the importance of building mental fitness to deal with the challenges life and sport can throw at anyone. The programme is delivered in GAA clubs all over Ireland and involves two workshops, one for male or female U14/15 teams and one for the parents and coaches of these teams.
CLG Naomh Ultan are currently in the process of organising a "Movember Ahead of the Game" workshop to take place at Pรกirc Naomh Ultan for our U16 teams.

๐๏ธ Ulster LGFA PDP In-Person Coaching Day ๐๏ธ
The Ulster PDP In-Person Coaching Day will take place on Saturday 5th April in the Garvaghy GAA Complex, Tyrone @ 10.30am and will conclude approx. 1pm.

LGFA Administrator Pathway Success doesnโt just happen on the pitch. It is the result of strong teamwork off the pitch too and effective administrators are central to all activities of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association across club, county, provincial and national levels. The LGFA Administrator Pathway is a self-led development initiative aimed at supporting volunteer administrators at their level enabling them to receive support at a time when they need it, and specific to their role. Club School Links Programme The LGFA has developed a recognition programme for club-school links, enabling clubs and schools to formalise the excellent work they are already doing and supporting them to develop further opportunities.
