We had a memorable Saturday celebrating our 50th Anniversary Weekend, a day that will never be forgotten!
The festivities began at 1pm with our Family Fun Day, kindly sponsored by PwC Ireland. Despite a brief downpour, spirits weren't dampened and we extend a huge thanks to everyone who joined us. The day concluded with some fiercely competitive Tug of War contests for both kids and adults.
We were especially honoured by the presence of Uachtarรกn Cumann Lรบthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns. The Uachtarรกn officially opened our new walking track facilities and warmly engaged with attendees, posing for numerous photos. He unveiled a commemorative plaque alongside our club chairman, Alan Lyons, and delivered an inspiring speech. His leadership is a tremendous asset to our association, and we eagerly anticipate the future of the GAA under his guidance.
The Duck Street Jam Band wrapped up the day with an outstanding performance, keeping the crowd entertained. It was a fantastic day filled with fun and excitement for all ages. Many thanks to everyone who supported the club! Photos of the day will be uploaded hopefully this morning!
Weโre not done yet - join us for one last celebration! Our sold-out 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance at the Bay View Hotel, Killybegs, kicks off at 6pm. It's sure to be a delightful evening, with the celebrations continuing late into the night. See you all there!
