Official Statement - β100 To Homeβ
It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of our former club chairman, Jack Furey, who peacefully left us on May 3rd, 2024. Jack was not only a prominent referee in the county but also deeply rooted with our club, serving as chairman for a number of years. His absence will be keenly felt by all who knew him. Ar dheis DΓ© go raibh a anam.
In honouring Jack's memory and respecting the wishes of his family, CLG Naomh Ultan has decided to proceed with the β100 To Homeβ cycling fundraiser as planned. This event will now stand as a poignant tribute to our late Gael, Jack Furey.
In light of the wake's proximity to PΓ‘irc Naomh Ultan, we have decided to postpone the scheduled walk for '100 To Home' at our walking track for our Bord Na nΓg and LGFA board. A new date will be announced in due course.
Weβd like to take this opportunity also to thank everyone for their overwhelming support we've received so far. It has been truly remarkable, huge thanks from both our participants and our club. We invite everyone to visit our event website and continue showing your invaluable support: www.100tohome.com
To our cyclists, we extend our best wishes as they embark on the challenging journey from Errigal to PΓ‘irc Naomh Ultan tomorrow. Let us rally together and bring it home, in memory and honour of Jack. β«οΈπ‘
